Welcome to Fussy, your not-so-secret hidden vintage gem of a shop located in Pontcanna, Cardiff
Hey I'm Yvette. I’ve been offically running Fussy since 2020 although realistically I’ve been obsessively collecting, sourcing & selling vintage clothing for well over 10 years! Before opening my first physical shop at the Goodsheds in Barry 5 years ago I was hustling vintage out of an oversized faux fur coat down dark alleys (jokes) - I worked some random jobs (living in barcelona working for cadbury chocolate?! up on a ladder at 6am visual merchandising for marks and sparks, having a job where i found other people jobs (IT recruitment advisor) amongst others.... always alongside constantly hunting for crazy cool vintage pieces!!
Now the shop is packed full of handpicked vintage clothing, accessories, jewellery, gifts and what not; mainly from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s & ’00s - with new stock added constantly.
Fussy is all about individuality, self-expression and finding clothes that actually feel exciting to wear. I love fashion that feels playful, nostalgic, chaotic, glamorous, slightly unhinged + completely personal. The opposite of walking into Zara and seeing 14 versions of the same outfit. P.S boycott zara.
Everything is personally sourced by me with a big focus on affordability, quality & inclusive sizing. I want people to come into Fussy and feel like there’s something for everyone, whether you’re after a statement piece, everyday vintage staples or an outfit that makes absolutely no sense except to you.
Vintage is something I care deeply about beyond just aesthetics. There’s already enough clothing in the world being mass-produced and over the years Fussy has proudly helped save thousands of pieces from ending up in landfill by giving them a second life instead.
The shop itself is very Fussy. Juicy orange walls, constantly changing rails, loud prints, chaos, nostalgia and probably some kind of 2000s club anthem playing in the background.
